The Village of Waterville is excited to announce that it has started an update to its 1965 Comprehensive Plan. With funding from New York State, the Village has hired LaBella Associates D.P.C. to help prepare a forward-thinking and community-driven Plan that will guide the Village for the next 20 years.

What is a Comprehensive Plan?

A comprehensive plan is a blueprint created by a community that outlines its vision for its future. Key topics often include natural resources, public services, housing, parks and recreation, transportation, and land use. Comprehensive plans are driven by public engagement and contain goals, objectives, and recommendations that aim to achieve the community’s vision. Key community priorities and projects are also identified in the plan to support future applications for grant funding.

Throughout the project, we will be looking for community input and feedback at various open houses and engagement events. Stay tuned to this webpage for details.
